What happens in Counselling?

I will provide you with a confidential space to access non-judgemental support where you will be listened to. Some people find that this is all they need, an opportunity to talk things through and make sense of what’s going on for them. Other people want more structured or focused work which looks at developing skills or tools and resilience going forward.

 

We would meet for an initial session to talk about what you want from counselling and the way we might work together most effectively. We would also discuss how long you feel you want to attend sessions. Some people get real benefit from long-term work, but for many people a series of sessions over a few weeks may be most useful.
