Why Counselling?

When experiencing distress and upset some people can find it difficult to talk to those closest to them, maybe because they fear being judged, burdening those around them or because it is about something private or intimate which they don’t feel they want to share.

 

As a Counsellor I am a neutral person, with no links to other people in your life, which many people find makes it easier to talk through feelings and events honestly.

 

Counselling is not just for people who are experiencing extreme distress, it can be a way of addressing ongoing difficulties, processing past events or as a neutral space to work through life changes and decisions.
